Free NAVIGON MobileNavigator LITE for iPhone Now Available
NAVIGON AG, the leading innovator in the navigation market, today announced the launch of a North American version of its MobileNavigator LITE application for the iPhone. The free software is now available in the Apple App Store. The LITE version includes the same range of functions as NAVIGON’s full navigation solution, although no active route guidance with GPS support is available. It displays the user’s position on a map and allows to search for nearby POIs.
“NAVIGON’s new MobileNavigator will offer iPhone users an easy to use navigation solution with many of NAVIGON’s hallmark features,” said Egon Minar, CEO of NAVIGON AG. “With the launch of the free LITE version, we wanted to give users the opportunity to experience our new software before buying it.”
The full version of the MobileNavigator for the iPhone will follow soon. It transforms any iPhone 3G equipped with the new Apple OS 3.0 operating system and any iPhone 3G S into a complete navigation device. NAVIGON will offer its navigation solution for a onetime fee. It will include many of NAVIGON’s signature features such as Reality View™ Pro, Lane Assistant Pro, Speed Assistant and Day & Night Mode. The only requirement for using the MobileNavigator on the iPhone is the new Apple OS 3.0 operating system. The LITE version also runs on iPod Touch devices with the OS 3.0.
NAVIGON has also implemented typical iPhone functions into its application such as an automatic switch between portrait and landscape view.
