Upshot 1.0 Released – Share Screenshots on the Mac

Submitted by on February 19, 2010 – 9:37 amNo Comment

Howling Moon Software has released Upshot 1.0, a Mac utility that makes sharing screenshots with friends, coworkers, and clients a one click operation. Upshot features integration with popular image hosting sites ImageShack, Imgur, and TwitPic. Registered users can upload their images via FTP to their own web server, or run any custom script on the image (several examples are included).

Upshot was immediately chosen as a Featured Download and a Staff Pick on Apple’s download site. In the first few days, over 10,000 people have found Upshot to be an easy collaboration tool.

“We designed Upshot to stay out of the way and let you work. You can trigger it with a hotkey and have the URL of your image sent directly to your clipboard for easy sharing”, said developer Andy Korth.

Upshot also has Growl notification support and it tracks your recently uploaded screenshots, so you can quickly look up an old screenshot by browsing thumbnails.

Upshot is the perfect tool for anyone working in a team or with a client. We’ve designed Upshot to be the easiest and fastest way to share whatever you are working on. Send your client an image of your work-in-progress website, show your friends screenshots of your latest game, or share a mockup with a teammate. Just snap a screenshot and paste the link into instant message, email, or twitter account!
