The latest updates to ALK Technologies’ award-winning CoPilot Live iPhone GPS navigation apps have been approved by Apple and are now available from the App Store. The full-featured GPS navigation apps now include improved guidance at complex intersections, Facebook status updates, free local search, and the latest maps of North America.

The updated apps are CoPilot Live Directions, a free app that offers a 30-day trial of the full GPS navigation service that includes premium features such as voice-guided, turn-by-turn directions, 3D map displays, and lifetime use of the basic GPS navigation service. The lifetime-use CoPilot Live North America app has also been updated and is now available for a new, lower price of $29.99. New features and benefits in the latest app updates include:

* Updated US and Canada street maps and Points-Of-Interest. More than 15,000 miles of roads have been added, 73 completely updated counties and hundreds of map improvements submitted by the CoPilot Live User Community and verified by CoPilot Live.

* Live Local Search as Standard CoPilot Live now includes integrated local internet search, making it easy to find the nearest product, service, brand, store or just about anything you need. Simply key-in whatever you’re looking for and be guided straight there.

* Facebook Status Updates Now you can share your journey directly with your Facebook friends, including where you are, where you are going and even what music you are listening to on the way.

* Improved Guidance with Lane Assist & ClearTurn(TM) CoPilot Live makes it easier than ever to see where to go at complex intersections. Lane Assist shows exactly which lane to be in, while ClearTurn provides a more realistic display of upcoming highway exits and junctions.

* Adjustable Music Volume Settings. Now you can choose to mute or lower music volume automatically while receiving a voice instruction, which is one of the most frequently requested features by CoPilot Live iPhone customers.
