Avantar, a leader in local mobile search, and a sister company to Yellow Pages Directories, released the Yellow Pages app for Apple’s new iPad mobile computer. This release follows the extraordinary success of the Yellow Pages apps, and preferred GPS-enabled directories, in both the iPhone and Android.

“We have great expectations of this innovative iPad computer and Apple’s ability to capture this new mobile niche in the market place, grow it, and lead the industry for years to come.” explained Adrian Ochoa, President of Avantar. Mr. Ochoa continued, “the new iPad design and usability are delicious to look at and navigate. We put a lot of time into it and believe it will be received well.”

Now that Avantar has covered all its bases with the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and Android, their next priority is tying them all together through social networking. Currently the new Yellow Pages iPad design is pending approval by Apple, but is expected to launch on the iPad release date or shortly thereafter.

* Since this application works on WiFi only, iPod touch users may need to manually set their location

Pricing and Availability:
Yellow Pages 2.3 for iPhone and iPod touch is free and available exclusively through the App Store in the Navigation category. Yellow Pages for Android is compatible with Android Google Phone Nexus One & OS 1.6 through OS 2.1.
