SGN, a leading mobile social gaming company, today announced its free iBowl Deluxe is available from the App Store. SGN has created a new way to play live with up to eight people around the world using your iPhone or iPod touch as a virtual bowling ball. Users simply swing and spin their device like a bowling ball to see how many strikes they can get. Using the Challenge Menu, iBowl allows enthusiasts to challenge their friends over the internet with Facebook Connect or make new friends by playing a random match.
Using In App Purchase capabilities within free games SGN supports a variety of premium content options and business models. SGN is offering users additional services and content within the iBowl App such as, extra levels, avatar features, virtual goods, in-game upgrades as well as virtual goods to extend the customized experience of the game.
The iBowl Deluxe App provides endless hours of fun with immersive in-game features such as a 3D physics engine that enables the bowling pins to fly into each other, an iPod Jukebox, which allows users to listen to their own songs and playlists while they bowl. Through integrated customization tools, users can build their very own bowler avatar, each with a unique, personalized look and feel. Also through a Bluetooth connection, users can challenge their friends to a game anywhere, anytime.
“We are excited to provide a new, more immersive and engaging way to game with iBowl Deluxe, featuring an advanced 3D physics engine and accelerometer functionality. These new technologies allow SGN to take a huge leap forward in setting the precedence for high-quality, multiplayer mobile gaming,” said Shervin Pishevar, CEO of SGN. “The iBowl Deluxe App is not only a fun way to use your iPhone or iPod touch for increased interactive game-play, but it also creates a fun, virtual environment where people of all ages can express their creativity when customizing their own personal bowler avatar and enjoy regular in-game content updates. SGN’s vision is for people to be able to connect with their friends and make new friends through games, wherever they are; this takes us one step closer to that goal.”
To entice users to discover new content, SGN has integrated “Pippins” that allow users to get rewarded for each strike and spare. After collecting Pippins, users can spend them to customize their in-game experience — unlocking new bowling alleys, bowling balls and avatar outfits.
In enhancing the user experience one step further, SGN has integrated new alley designs featuring a variety of 3D features. Some of these featured design themes include:
— Polar Package: Bowling in an ice-cold igloo alley featuring a fashion choice of a cute polar bear shirt or a penguin shirt. — Egyptian Package: Bowling in the heat of the desert with an Eye of Horus ball in an ancient pyramid alley. — Volcano Package: Bowling in the middle of a volcano while throwing fireball strikes.
The iBowl Deluxe App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore/.
Pursuing a higher level of social interaction, iBowl Deluxe enables users to integrate Twitter so that they can publish game results and followers can track users’ high scores and overall game progress.
