Flash Hero 2.0 for iPhone and iPod touch

Asasa Software announced the release of Flash Hero 2.0, a new approach to e-flash on the iPhone and iPod touch. Aiming to be the best e-flash app for the iPhone platform, Flash Hero features 3 different e-flash proprietary algorithms, plus 5 filters to get great color effects in your pictures. Version 2.0 now includes a new GUI and five additional colour filters.

Yet another flash app? Does the iPhone/iPod touch application universe really need another Flash app? Asasa software thinks so. Asasa software noticed that almost every flash app out there only applies a simple “Auto level” filter to the photos it takes, thereby obtaining various results for different pictures.

The problem is that not all photos are created in the same way. Each one of them needs its own particular approach when it comes to exposure adjustment. This is why Asasa software created Flash Hero, a new e-flash application that provides users with up to three different algorithms to enhance an underexposed picture. Not only does Flash Hero app enable you to choose from three different flash settings, it also allows you to fine tune the adjustments (so you can obtain desired photo quality or effect).

And it is not only underexposed pictures it applies to. It is worth noting that our proprietary enhancement algorithms can also be used on properly exposed photos by allowing the user to achieve some really neat effects such as Hi-contrast, Hi-pass, or “Night Scenes.” It just lets the user to apply any of the builtin effects and mix them up to get awesome pictures.

Free colour filters:
Last but not least, when a photo comes out extremely underexposed (due to a lack of sufficient lighting, etc.), Asasa software added five free colour filters which enable to you to transform a fault into something that looks stylishly intentional. Of course, there is nothing preventing a user from applying the same effects on a properly exposed photo, should he fancy so!

What is new in Version 2.0?
Despite many positive feedbacks on Flash Hero user interface, Asasa software tried to make things even simpler. At the moment the image fits to the screen so no additional clicks for a full size preview are required. All commands are now in a fixed bottom bar with a new icon so they can be identified in a snap. All filters reside in a side bar that appears on the left side of the screen. Four new additional simple filters have been added to achieve simple colour effects. For the price of v1.0 you can now possibly get the following filters:

* Greytones – A simple filter to convert your images in grey tones (v1.0)
* Sepia – A classic sepia tone filter (v2.0)
* Black & White – Actually a treshold filter (v2.0 – with slider control)
* Posterize (v2.0 – with slider control)
* Invert (v2.0)

Device Requirements:
* iPhone and iPod touch
* Requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later
* 0.2 MB
