iDay for iPad Birthday and Event Manager

iHanWel has released iDay Deluxe, a new native iPad version of the best known birthday and event manager for the iPhone. As a native iPad app, iDay Deluxe benefits not only from the big screen but also from the new sophisticated user interface controls like split views and popovers.

iDay for iPad is the innovative App that will ensure the user will never again forget a birthday, anniversary, or any other important date. Each time it’s launched, iDay automatically imports all the birthdays stored in the user’s address book. Over that the user is also able to create special manual entries, which means there’s no need to have a separate address book entry for your Aunt Gwen or dog Snoopy, even if the user want to be reminded of their birthdays or anniversaries as well.

The summary page in iDay displays the applicable Zodiac sign for that day, as well as Chinese and Indian Horoscopes, the Celtic Tree Horoscope, and helpful links related to all of these features. You can also view the moon phase for the selected day, as well as the Saint associated with it. In addition, you can obtain facts about the date by following links to Wikipedia, and the daily calendars and “On This Day” sections of the New York Times and the BBC.

Other links provide information on famous people born and historical events that took place on that day. This useful information can be used for a personal birthday mail created automatically by iDay. Of course iDay is using the push service to remind the user to important events to a free definable hour on the day.
