EMI Music and David Guetta launch iPhone app

EMI Music and French multi-platinum, chart-topping artist, producer, DJ and entrepreneur David Guetta have launched the first official David Guetta’s application for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Through the app, fans can now follow David as he moves from city to city and never miss a moment of the action. The app delivers an ongoing feed of updates, photos, videos and tweets directly from David Guetta, giving comprehensive access to his world on the go.

The app contains innovative features such as Tour Tracker, an interactive world map that allows fans to see in real time where David is mixing and DJing. Tour Tracker enables fans to connect to each by sharing their own location, pictures and comments on David Guetta’s DJ sets from all across the globe. The app also contains an additional feature developed by the leading interactive music solution company MXP4 which transforms the iPhone and iPod Touch into a miniature mixing desk, allowing fans to remix and play with the smash hit “Sexy Chick” themselves.

David Guetta said “I’ve always been fond of new technologies and this application allows me to be close to my fans in a new and interactive way”

The app has been developed by Redshift, a technology company specialised in creating high-end mobile platforms, and also features a component developed by MXP4, provider of interactive music solutions.

The app will be available exclusively from the iTunes Store from October 19th on in Europe for 1.59 Euros. US date for availability to be confirmed shortly.
