Apple has announced nearly 10 billion apps have been downloaded from the App Store worldwide. The 10 billionth app downloaded stands to win a US $10,000 iTunes Gift Card.
To be eligible for for the $10K prize voucher you must be 13 years or older and a legal citizen of a participating country. Downloading free apps counts as well,
The App Store is the source for iPhone and iPad mobile apps, there are 300,000 and counting in practically every category.
