SlingPlayer Mobile App With 3G Support

Sling Media, Inc., a subsidiary of EchoStar Corporation (NASDAQ: SATS), today announced its SlingPlayer Mobile™ App has been updated to support 3G networks and is available now on the App Store. Sling Media made the announcement at the start of the Mobile World Congress conference in Barcelona, Spain.
“We are delighted the SlingPlayer Mobile App now has 3G capability,” said John Gilmore, senior vice president and general manager at Sling Media. “Slingbox users in many countries around the globe, including the United States, can now enjoy their living room TV experience on their iPhone and iPod touch whether on a 3G or WiFi network.”

How it Works
With access to the Internet and connection to a Slingbox® Solo, PRO or PRO HD, SlingPlayer Mobile software allows viewers to watch and control their living room television at any time from any location. SlingPlayer Mobile App users can change channels, control their DVR and watch their favorite shows, all on the iPhone® or iPod touch®. The SlingPlayer Mobile App is available for U.S. $29.99, UK GBP GBP 17.99, and Euro EUR 23.99 from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore/.

The updated version is a free upgrade for existing users of the SlingPlayer Mobile App.
